Jennifer Staples is a Nashville-based artist known for her serene, elegant paintings that blend realism and impressionism. She paints the natural world as a way to process her own life.
Her passion for art began in her grandmother’s living room, where she would spend long afternoons in well-worn coffee table books, tracing the vivid shapes of Matisse and absorbing the soft, organic forms of O’Keeffe. Those early moments of curiosity became the roots of her artistic journey. Jennifer spent the next fifteen years sharing her love of creativity as an art educator, leading classrooms and art camps.
After the loss of her father, painting became a way to move through grief. In the quiet rhythms of nature, she found a place to listen to the voice of God.
Jennifer resides with her husband and three children. You can often find them gardening, painting, and playing in their backyard.
